Yoel Pytowski deconstructs time and space in an architectural context. He achieves this effect through in-situ installations which condition the eye to new spatial and temporal dimensions. The effect is startlingly displacing, giving rise to questions of place and time. Where and when are we looking at? The placement inside Botanique presents the viewer with another entangled opposition, that of in- and outside. Walls are no longer walls but become doorways, portals that displace the observer.
